Voice
Shannon’s voice has been described as being wholesomely sensuous and naturally warm. She has done voice training with teachers Elaine Overholt, Debra Toffan, Jessie Thomson, and Stewart Horsley. In addition to her natural voice, she easily portrays both young females and males. Her warm, rich voice, conveying her knowledge and sincerity, has been used effectively in documentaries, narrations, commercials, and live presentations. She has a folder full of enthusiastic remarks from employers about her good work.

Shannon’s continued desire to perform as a professional actor compelled her to begin studying improvisation at Toronto’s world-famous Second City, with teachers and coaches including Sandy Jobin-Bevans, Kerry Griffin, and Naomi Sniesus; at the Pro Actors Lab, under Bruce Clayton and David Rotenberg; with Adam David; and with the highly respected Sears & Switzer. Her amenable disposition and poise have made her an effective spokesperson for several companies, both in person and on film. She is in her second season as Star of the weekly television show “Home Showcase,” a job which requires warmth, a quick acquisition of facts, good interpersonal interactions, improvisational skills, and obvious enthusiasm. Shannon continues her training on a consistent and committed basis in order to maintain and improve her skills.
